Students Are My Passion

My desire to impact students began, professionally, as a substitute teacher for an urban school district in Central VA. That passion took me to the field as a full time teacher in that same school district in 2006.

As the Lord worked it out, I am now in my 12th year as a Principal. I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to serve as an Elementary Principal for 6 years, a Middle School Principal for 4 years, and now a High School Principal for 2 years.

Over the last year I’ve worked both as a High School Principal and Educational Consultant in Arizona. I’ve been blessed to be the Principal of some students that I currently have for almost 10 years!

The elementary school I had the opportunity to serve went from the bottom 5% in the Commonwealth of Virginia to a fully accredited school through the work of great collaboration with all stakeholders!

The middle school I served not only survived the pandemic, but came out and remained fully accredited.

The high school was recognized for Honor Roll with the AP College Board. Each of the locations all held a high bar for students and staff while remaining committed to the motto of ‘No Excuses.’ Every student CAN succeed in the right environment!

Every teacher and leader in that environment CAN help their students achieve their goals. Nothing is impossible!

Principal Mentorship

Mainly, this is for those in education that are invested in the success of their students and staff. This is for the Principal who feels ‘stuck’. This is for the Principal who has seen results plateau. This is for the Principal in a small division that lacks a partner for collaboration. This is for the Principal in the large division that feels lost in the crowd. This is for the school who has been identified as a school in need. The staff at No Excuses Education bring a wealth of knowledge from multiple diversities. We seek to mentor, support, collaborate, diagnose, and offer research based solutions that yield positive student outcomes.

While we focus on partnerships with the building leaders, we also offer support and professional learning for staff members. This could including professional learning for instruction, management, or even morale.
